Ålesund

To go to Ålesund, we recommend the highlighted route which goes via Standaleidet. Travel further up Follestaddalen and follow the sign towards Standal. There is a beautiful scenery along this route. When you get to the ferry pier make sure you are in the lane for Solevåg. This ferry takes you towards Ålesund. The other lane, to Hundeidvik, takes you towards Sykkylven and Stranda.

Ålesund is one of the most beautiful cities in Norway. It is famous for it’s jugend architecture. A lot of cruiseships visits the city every summer. One of the attractions are the stairs up to Fjellstua/Aksla where there is a restaurant with the famous panorama view of the city and the isles around. There is also a great Aquarium in Ålesund.
